About
I am Weidi, raised in a small village in southeastern China, where traditional healing has shaped my earliest memories. Watching local healers and my grandmother use acupuncture, herbs, cupping and scraping sparked my lifelong fascination with the human body and natural medicine.
I later completed a double degree in Medicine and Law in China, before continuing my medical journey in Australia. After graduating from the University of South Australia, I worked for seven years as a Respiratory and Sleep Nurse Specialist. Alongside this, I pursued formal training in Traditional Chinese Medicine, studying classical texts that emphasise balance, harmony and holistic healing.
After becoming a licensed Chinese medicine practitioner, I practised in Melbourne and regional Victoria, building strong connections with patients through compassionate and thoughtful care. Now based in Beaconsfield Upper, I integrate Eastern and Western medicine to support true whole-person wellness.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, travelling, yoga, Taichi, music, and meeting people from all cultures and walks of life.

Meet Our Receptionist
Hi, I’m Mitali, and I’ll be your receptionist at AcuChen Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture. I’m here to make your visit smooth and pleasant, whether it’s scheduling appointments, answering questions, or guiding you through our services. In 2026, I’ll also be studying Chinese Medicine to deepen my understanding of this beautiful practice.
My interest in TCM began through martial arts, starting Kung Fu at age eight and learning about balance, Qi, pressure points, and herbal remedies. Later, my own experiences with hormonal health introduced me to acupuncture and other TCM practices, showing me the power of personalised, holistic care. I appreciate how Chinese Medicine looks at the whole person—body, habits, emotions, and environment—rather than offering quick fixes.
Outside of work, I enjoy music, kickboxing, yoga, travelling, and creativity. I’m dedicated to helping create a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment for all our patients.
